I think the strips are a mid 80's add on....they have go to go....

I found it just on the outskirts of Underwood near J27 of the M1

Got it for a good price to....

Looks like the guy brought it in 1990 and used it for a year or so then left it in his garage until I saw it, from what I can make out he went through a divorce just after he bought it so maybe something to do with that....the date of road tax liability is 01 12 1991. I've had it up on the ramp in a friends garage yesterday and it looks solid apart from the rear chassis rails which have a little surface rust, there is rust on the suspension parts but nothing excessive.

I am trying to de code the body tag, any help would be good.....

I know what your saying....you can see its a trans am from a mile away.

They don't look factory decals to me, the body looks to be original blue with blue interior.

I will upload some more photos now its been cleaned up.

    Cheers

Just found this 78 Trans am....

Hello everyone, I have just come across this 78 trans am by chance and could not turn it down, it's been sitting in a small garage since 1991, I think the owner had maybe turned it over a few time, but he said the last time was around early 2000's.

The body is in great shape, but it looks like its had some work in the past, maybe in the 1980's, all the under body is good apart from the rear chassis rails which have surface rust....

I got the engine up and running, gears seem fine, clutch seem to work well, exhaust is shot...

Now looking for some parts...exhaust, service, tyres etc.

Its had around 7 owners in the 80's in UK, anyone recognise it??

    Cheers.
