Re: Problems making steering fit.. Yes the steering arm does run on the outside of chassis. Ill try to get a photo uploaded later to make it clearer and easier to see what im after doing. Im just trying to rebuild it as it was but its proving difficult. I suppose no one said it would be straight forward

Re: Problems making steering fit.. I'd move the coilovers personally .If that is totally impractical then the other solution is fitting a rack to the front beam with a sliding joint ,in the column , to allow for movement. It would be easier to move the coilovers probably? Shortening the steering arm will change the steering ratio and will make it heavy , twitchy when moving and with even poorer lock than standard. EDIT I take it the steering arm runs on the outside of the chasssis rail not on the inside ? A photo would help.
Problems making steering fit.. Im having trouble finding how to get the steering right on my T. Ive got a pair of steering arms on the bottom and a hoop at the top of my spindels that will have a bar coming from the steering box. The big problem is my car is having coilovers on and they sit right in the middle of where my steering hoop sits. How would anyone get around it if it was your obsticle ??
