Re: ford style front axles and parts

thats the one, it had a marina in it and was wondering where the bottom half may have beem lol. took the marina out yesturday, it needs some serious work but should hopefully be a nice T when iv finished it, getting the bottom half of the grille would be great!

the guy i bought it off said he bought it off some guys or a club that used to take it to shows as you said,

got a turtle deck that was on it which i want to get rid of actually, im chopping a load off the back of the chassis as some one made a bit of a mess of it, and fitted parallel springs to it going to shorten the rear end abit and fit transverse rear spring etc.....

    small world hey.

    Hi,
Is that the one that had the Marina (?) engine or similar in it ?
Built by some club to play with at the shows ...it was up your way , near Knebworth or nearby last time I heard .....

If you want a bottom half for that grille shell or a Turtle deck etc. let me know....

Re: ford style front axles and parts

    hi guys

heres a few pics of my "new" T project.

i think iv sort of answered my own questions last night when a mate from our local hotrod club scanned in and emailed me across a few articles of a T project in custom car from a few years ago,

i think im going to go for a suicide front end with a transverse front spring now so it will match the transverse spring im planning on putting on the back to so will look neater

    thanks

    hI,
Glad to see you are off the starting blocks !

Post a pic , as Smurf says , otherwise its impossible to help....

Regarding your transverse rear spring in the other posting ....stock Ford Pop rear will give you all the parts you need to do that....

ford style front axles and parts

hi every one, picked up my T project this morning , pretty pleased and is a start for my first Rod,

just wondering what is the usual set up for a Ford front axle set up, i know its the I bean and spindle, panhard rod of sorts, wishbone/trailing arm type arms etc, would it be possible to go through this on here for me and maybe include some pictures,

also wheres a good place to get these? or does anyone have any for sale, my projects got and I beam on but unsure what it is and needs new bits and bobs so i might get new bits as and when i find them and can afford them

    thanks in advance

    charles
