high oil pressure doesn't nessesarily mean good lubrication. You need a reasonable pressure but the correct grade of oil for the type of motor and the conditions it'll be run in is essential. For a Rover a good 20/50 semi should be fine.

Hi, I am running an injection 3.9 V8 rover engine in my 32 coupe. At the moment I an running it on Valvelene 15/50 but was wondering if the would be any problems or advantages on running it on 20/60 300V LE MANS as these engines tend to run a bit hot at times and keeping the oil as thick as possible might be benifitial in keeping the oil pressure up.
