Rumour . We ( Welcome to ACE - Association of Car Enthusiasts (ACE)) have spoken with VOSA about this and we are told there will not be .However they confirm there is a planned tightening up on vehicle identity details at MOT time , quite what areas that will affect we don't know .
Always best to do some homework before starting or buying a project so you know what you are getting into. Many built cars have a degree of protection with unofficial Grandafther rights all dependent on when built and how accurate the V5C is etc.
New MOT regs?
Can anyone shed any light on what I was told today about up coming MOT regs?
That there will be a box on the MOT computer that the tester has to 'tick' if the car has been modified in any way from stock, & that when you go to retax the car the log book is blocked & you have to have the car inspected (IVA?)
(& you know none of this until this point?)
