    Yep ours does that too , usually with films , i thought the adds were louder so you could still hear them while you were getting beer/making tea/having a **** etc , even though you don't want too !

    It's because you're keeping your finger on the FF or RW button. Touch it 2 or 3 times to get it moving at the speed you want then leave it alone and just hit the play button when the ads finish

    As per Evil's thread on go compare ad, I record the programmes on Sky+, then fast forward through the ads.

    You have to be quick with the FF button though, or you get a quick earful of ads blaring out.

    Speaking of Sky+, sometimes on mine, when I push the FF button, the programme jumps back to the start again..........

    Some programmes are so banal that it takes about a minute to realise you're watching the same thing again.

    Does that happen to anyone else?

    I've started recording most of the programs or go live pause then zip through the ads.I think there was even a machine that could by pass the ads but was banned.

    I hate it too,we had harry snotter on yesterday and those ads were bloody annoying.

    But what i don't understand is why we didn't just put the bloody dvd on no ads problem solved,
    guess i must be a miserable whinging ****er too.
