Thanks all, failed dismally trying to find an open parts place that stocked the parts I need, but didn't turn out too bad.

I only wanted to replace them because I was replacing the mounting brackets on the axle and the nuts on the ends were completely ground down such that I couldn't tell where the nuts ended and the studs began. So I couldn't get the shocks off the brackets. Turns out a vice and a bit of persuasion was all it needed. Shocks are going back on now. So don't need to replace them just yet anyway. :-)

Does anyone know of a spares shop open tomorrow in chelmsford or basildon or that sort of area?

Need some rear shocks for a land rover.
