Thanks GT350 and I see you are from Glasgow, my birthplace. From memory, the words "Sunny" and "Glasgow" don't normally sit together, but maybe that's something sticking in my mind from when I moved to Aberdeen (aka the Frozen North) I am now in the Deep South (of England), but visit North of the Border as often as possible! Keep up the good work in converting them in Glasgow - the city has been transformed in recent years, and you are clearly driving this process!!!

Good to hear from you, and good luck V8UK - I'd love to see it when complete I am selling a Defender (don't want a new one as they are about to change the body shape ) to use the Model A daily. I shouldn't notice the difference in ride.... I have a couple of leads, so fingers crossed!

    Hi Alan,

    Good luck with the hunt.

I'm putting together a model A myself. 31 Coupe body, reproduction (fibreglass) with some new rails and modern running gear. Hope to have it on the road next year at some point.

It will be a long old journey but I'm hoping to use it as often as possible, hopefully even daily if funds allow, as soon as it's finished!

Thanks, TonyTony and greetings to Stockport from the South - although I actually hail from the Frozen North (Scotland).

Currently, though, I don't know where I am based, or which way is up on the map, as I am putting in the miles visiting and talking to people, in search of info which will lead me to the Ultimate Ford A. For me, the Ultimate is one with a modern V6 or V8; an un-chopped cab; and is (or will be) capable of being an everyday car. Anything from a project to a finished vehicle. Shout if you see anything!

Meantime, PM me with details of your own fleet

Thanks, Ronnie L - Am spending all my time speaking to people (burning up hundreds of miles - face to face is best), searching the internet, and joining forums and clubs. Hard work this hot rod world - and that's before I have a car
