    Not an update of progress (unless you count balancing the engine on some bits of wood) just an idea of how it might look with all the loose bits attached.

    There was a chance on a proper chassis but lack of funds has scuppered that, so it's back to plan A and the box section and the welder; I'm currently thinking of using a mk2 jag axle and front cross member, the good news is that there's plenty of room for a blower if I can find one.(although the gearboxes aren't keen on that sort of thing apparently)

    I have been doing a bit over the last week but boring stuff, but includes collecting the hood, removing the dents (shown in previous photo's) and having a bit of a measure up for the chassis; from today, I have a set of wheels (that almost fit) and I now know the with of the back axle needs to be 56", I wonder if there is anything out there that will fit without surgery?

    As for the nostalgic aspect to the car, probably not what most people would associate with the term, but you know what they say; "nostalgia,it ain't what it used to be"

    With regards to the last photo, I've heard it said that the rake is important, so I've included a picture of it!

    Hi guys, I'm aiming for a nostalgic style, it didn't come with any front wings/fenders, (but the hood is with it) I'm going to use the '41 style, (found a supplier of fibreglass ones in the states although he wont ship to the UK) I want to use a 265cu engine, (if I can find one) looks as though I'll be making a chassis, as there has been quite a few alterations underneath, and it appears to have been channelled about 4", so although I know the wheel base, I don't have an exact dimension for chassis length....

    Hopefully the axle was just to move it about, although you never can be 100% sure.....

    I bashed a few more dents out, and ground the remains of the door pods off today; it has to be said there is a sh!t load of filler in this car!

    I f anyone has a piccy of the car in it's prime that they are willing to share, that would be great.
