    Just found number on tiny ally plate glued to block behind starter! So at least I have a number now.

    They will normally accept a n/a ( not available ) engine number, they certainly do on alot of imported Yank vehicles.

    Well you've struck lucky John , just tweaked my own 200ci. From memory the engine number is on a small pad to the right of the block itself near the front. Bloc casting numer itself also decodes what ,where, when, made.

    Yes Kev, it is that straight 6 1963 Ford Falcon engine 170 c.i. and this very little info available as not many people are into 6 bangers.
