It's beginning to look like a custom chassis and IVA then.
At least it'll be strong with decent modern suspension.
Is there anybody building Pop chassis ?

If it has to go through IVA, I may as well go for it and build a new chassis with trick suspension.

If you carry out the mods you have listed then hopefully your all ready aware that you fall short of the 8 points required

if you have a chassis number and reg then just fill a form in send of your 25 and apply for the v5c

it might not be classed as historic if it has not been on the road for a while,it might still be "plg" or "not licensed"

if you are aware of the 8 point rule then you will know the answer ?

as you dont have a log book i guess you dont know if it is already in the "historic" tax class ?
Yes, sorry I wasn't too clear. I meant getting it registered as it is currently, prior to any modifications being carried out.
I would guess it is tax exempt given its age

    Cheers

    Hello All

    I bought this recently.

    Standby for loads of questions

    First couple :

Engine options - I was thinking modern V8, possibly Lexus - thoughts ?
Chassis - if i gusseted and boxed the standard chassis and added crossmembers, would it be strong enough ?
Axle options - what are people fitting ? are there modern options ?
I want to keep it on an age related plate, not a 'Q' plate - I'm aware of the 8 point rule - what can be accommodated in terms of mods with this ?
I have the chassis number and reg number, but no V5 (got a full receipt from seller, been off the road for years) - what's the best way of either retaining the original number or getting a similar age related plate ?

    Thanks in anticipation

    Rob
