    I have not done this yet but I will tomorrow, as of now when you put your foot down when stationary its like I have just taken my foot of the throttle it goes like a snail

    I'd want to see 6,500 rpm and it should pull hard right up to that point if the other parts on the engine matches. Helps too if the car is light.

    When you're driving the car, do you intend to drive it hard and ring it's neck?. If so, it does just sound like the missing piece of the puzzle is the converter - you already know that anyway. I don't think you need to go anywhere yet for tuning as the most important part of the whole engine and trans is not complimenting the car at all.
    Any tuning effort when the converter is sucking a considerable load at low rpm will make it hard to tune. Anything to make it driveable will be a compromise as a result of this mis-match. I'd be looking in to a suitable converter before you go to get it setup.

    If you floor it at say 10mph, what rpm does it immediately pick up to or does it just feel unresponsive?

    Yeah. 245 and 255 is a reasonably tough cam. It suits a setup and use that is up for a nice high rev. You will need to ring it's neck a bit to get the best out of it. Otherwise it will be flat as a kippers tit. You have get in to the mid range before it wakes up.

    Got any more info on the engine and car? Does it have performance parts like high compression heads, good intake etc?

    The duration at.050 advertised 295in 305ex and at .050 tappet lift 245in 255ex is this what you asked for?
