I saw one of those Brixton retro 125s in Spain the other week and it looked very cool. Ok there was a good looking retro Spanish dude getting on it and the matt black paint, union jack tank protector and Brixton emblazoned set it all off.
I was surprised how dear they are back in the UK. Must be a good earner.

Good point , the "core money" for the bike goes out of the country. One that is done in the States is a Janus, and it's stinking dear......But the US has a large market(as does the EU)

Flogging the silver? In Germany there are towns that manufacture all the parts to build an item (finished product) that employs the whole area, BUT if the finished product's company is to be taken over by another company, the Work Force are protected..ie the company HAS to retain the in place structure under EU rules...........the UK never implimented this......

I have a letter relating to the regs,.......

Everything is now made in either China or India. Just pick up anything to hand. Clothes might be made in Bangledesh. All we can do is 'add value' eg there's these retro looking motorcycles now on sale in the UK with names like 'Hero' or 'Mutt'. The idea is that a company buys the basic bike from China (ironically based around an old design of Japanese Suzuki engine), then dresses it up with new tyres, handlebars, seat etc and then sells it as a UK made/finished boutique motorcycle with the UK brand on the tank. Government gets the VAT on the overall project, so they're happy. Probably is in the ONS stats as a UK manufactured motorcycle.

Cool, if we leave without a deal we should all be fine by 2039.
.That would be fine except that May spent 300 billion so far and bunged the DUP half a billion,(or was it a Billion?)
The 3 years should have and could have been better spent instead they just treaded water.
Half arsed shouting about leaving does nothing ,does no one any good.
Slightly o/t I'd want to be suing the Conservative party for the Half Billion they bunged the DUP,
We all know how much of a protectionist club it is.
    Can't disagree

The US will gladly trade with the UK.
.....Possibly if it wasn't Trump in charge,he wants to pursue an idea of the "American Empire",assset stripping along the way, and Johnson unfortunately will oblige, Trump is there for at at least 18 month, plus 4 years depending on the electrate. If this was going on 5 years ago Barack Obama would not been so easy on the UK ( That's a discussion for another time)

The EU may well have exclusivity terms with people like Mongolia, stopping them dealing with non EU countries wothout losing their EU deal.
