    i literally haven't done anything yet the car is still in 100 pieces. hoping to send for blasting next week, then i can weld the body and start putting it back together and take measurements

    as mark says if you don't have a v5c that says historic for the tax class then put it together stock and get the tax class changed to historic. if you get asked for an inspection when you change this one thing it must be completely standard. if not it's biva time.

    Get it registered correctly and rebuilt as std first - just get together & running to get the reg sorted otherwise all your work will be for nothing.

    Funny you should say Mx5. I have a mk1 with a turbo running about 270 hp. Im a little bit sick of mx5s now so ill probably go for something else for this project.
