    I had a gas inspector ( doing a yearly boiler - council - check ) tell me his mate was restoring the Slick Willys original . . . I had.... a picture of 'Slick' up on its side from the crash . I wish I knew where it was.... loved the stance of that car when I was a kid.....

    Wow thats spooky, I thought I had the ex Slick hemi heads/block?
    Got them from Hemi Kieth down Horsham way...
    Block was damaged from a rod failure and one head was damaged when the car rolled at B-Bush.

    It is being rebuilt. With a hemi. The guy told us he has the hemi heads it ran on the track. Pics we saw last week make me believe it's a fairly long term project.

    You could always start by calling up Shane Powell as he's got one of the original crash damaged doors with the Pioneer slick willy signwriting on it,

    Bob pulled the willy's apart many years back,
    he sold on the complete rolling chassis,
    was gonna put a new frame in it and run a hemi,
    after several more years he sold the body on,
    last time i spoke to Bob he seemed to think the same guy that bought the shell still had it,
    no idea if its been rebuilt though?
