today i opened the boot and passengers door of the valiant..... but to no avail.
i was looking for an elusive 318 inlet manifold and it's cousin the single point distributor, but alas they still evaded capture.
i did see the radiator lurking in the boot but that too was a disappointment as the bottom hose fitting is the wrong side.
moted the fiesta this morning so that's for sale now. it all helps fund the main projects, lol.
i just ordered 2 x 1/2lb jars of the flake for the valiant, you know so i'm sure to have enough.
picked up an early (A reg, 1983) mk2 fiesta ghia this evening. it came with 2 spare engines, another gearbox and a pair of driveshafts. i'll book an mot tomorrow, it had only done 8 miles since the last one and drove home from margate just fine so ought to be ok.
i just ordered a pedal assembly rebuild kit with pedal rubbers and a new clutch pedal pivot tube from brewers in the states Brewer's Performance - Mopar A833 4-Speed Transmission and Component Specialists. it'll save time making parts and i'd still need pedal rubbers anyway so.....
i want to have all the parts i need so i haven't got to stop mid way through the build up due to a small missing part.
like my anglia was but different
i've just emailed a company in the states about flake. dawn says i should keep the valiant green but i want it metal flake so after looking at metalflake 'greens' for about an hour we've agreed on this colour. it's called poseidon and it's from a company called paint huffer https://painthuffer.bigcartel.com/products
caltracs sold, that was quick.
well summit are they're usual speedy selves on 'in stock' parts, my 4 speed hump arrived this morning :thumbright:
oh, in case anyone's interested i'm selling the calvert racing caltracs traction bars i bought for the valiant, i'm using the super stock leaf springs now so don't need them. they're in the for sales on here.
