as an aside in that last pic the cylinder actually moves when the pedal is pressed (notice the 'bellows' are at the left) but you can mount the cylinder the other way round so only the pullrod moves and the cylinder is fixed. pretty sure that's what we did to be honest.

drseg, I tried that a while ago and although it stopped it was more than a bit scary, as in feck that was close
whats the brakes like if you just remove the servo? back then they wernt VERY served on the jago geep they deleted the servo from escort mk 1 mk 2 brakes (m16 calipers) as apparently it locked the rears too easy on the shorter lighter kit car and without the servo it still could lock the brakes if pressed nott unreasonably hard (19mm or 3/4") even fitted a transit one when that was all I had to hand (25mm 1") and that would still lock up if pressed hard
this is the best i could find mate, these guys even put a nylon sleeve through the bellhousing for the pushrod to go through. you get the idea though, the cylinder mounts to the engine (we used the 2 lower mount bolts to attach a bracket) and the extended pullrod goes through the hole where the cable used to go and connects to the clutch arm. when the pedal is pushed the cylinder pulls like the cable would.

Yep that easy, except with your setup you need to pull forward so the cylinder mounts (usually) by the engine mount with the pull rod extended to go through the hole in the bellhousing where the cable would be to then attach to the clutch arm. Think that makes sense, I know what I mean. I can do a pic if you need it.
Ooh that looks easy and a whole load cheaper than a throwout kit.
Is it as simple as this or does it need the body supported as well?
we do a wilwood 'pull' type slave cylinder i've used before when fitting type 9 boxes into old fords with hydraulic clutch pedal boxes. a simple bracket to mount it on the side of the engine in line with the clutch cable hole in the bellhousing and you get a lovely light clutch. plus no broken cables ever again.
That last one was the one I was looking at, but I need a cable clutch one.
