    But late to this thread but I also left home at around 6am for a 3.5 hour drive down.. I was surprised to see it was an earlier start but this also meant an early finish.
    If the OP had stayed to watch the racing it finished around 2.30pm & there was then the chance to see all the cars close up as the barriers were dismantled before the tide came back in.. I left around 3pm for the same 3.5 hour journey home after a great day,thanks to all involved & see you there again next year

    We’re not really trying to copy anything. The era’s are a little mixed up as we have everything from T flivvers through to early Bonneville style cars competing. I often say we’re recreating something that never happened.
