Well, just to add my twopenneth, I used to have my Camaro insured with aon, they were cheap, in a good value way, then I had a mustang, by then they were footman james, now they are expensive!
I use Adrian Flux for the the truck insurance, far cheaper quote, what they are like for paying out, dont know,
    hope this is helpful

    Off road classic insurance

    Hi
My 57 Chevy's been insured with Aon for 20 years (lazy), they now appear to have been taken over by Footman James who in my experience always quote high.
The car's having a nut and bolt full restoration and I start to put it all back together next week. They want 162 for off road cover valued at 15000 (which was what it was valued at before taking it apart)
Two things, does this sound about the right money for off road? And, how do I stand on valuation when the value of the car in bits and new parts collected is high. I'd guess that the value when complete would be around 25K.
Would appreciate any pointers to other insurance companies from anyone in the same situation. I do have a list of the usual candidates.
    Cheers
    Al
