    thanks for your help i done what u said and everything is ok on box i carnt see how i can ajust cable tho brought shifter from a auto jumble 3 year ago and it came with cable never realy tryed to shift b4 but sat at the drag strip tryed and failed every time even on way home i tryed i am thinking of puting the shifter forward more like almost in 1st and see what happens has the shifter has neaver lined up with the 12dnrp any way i will post up what happens lol

    test it by disconnecting at the gearbox end to make sure it goes through all the gear selections and gates the way that particular shifter is designed to at first,

    if all good then refit the cable to the trans and adjust the cable so that the shifter and trans are both in neutral at the same time,

    one other thing, is the lever on the gearbox matched with the shifter?

    hi guys ive got a rachet shifter fitted to a chevy th350 gearbox when im at the drag strip i cart shift has it gos from second to nutrul i think i need to change it for sumthig better any ideas y it dos this
    any help will b great full
