No probs, thanks for checking Rik

Thanks for the info Sid, Rick57 sent me info on a similar thing. I'll prob knock 1 up at the weekend & try it out.
I thought it might have been better, to try some actual wheels & tyres on there to get a better idea ect.

If you are stuck, could you not use a couple of bits of plywood. Long piece the same as radius of wheel and tyre, and a short piece screwed to top the width of tyre, mounted to give correct backspace you want? Then jack under axle, to give ride height, and spin your pattern round to see if it will clear. Not very scientific I know, but it will work.

    Wheel help needed

Dont know if this should go here, in wanted, tech or rants !

All the mods on my 57 suspension / brakes have pushed the track out to wider than stock, 60.5". Meaning my 4" backspace wheels dont fit
Been on a tri chevy wheel site that says 4.75 or 5" bs appear to be good, but try first. Cant try 'em cos I aint got 'em !
I think they will fit, but cos its 3.5" lower, not sure if they will rub the arches.

So, anybody out there that has a pair of 7 x 17" chevy 5 stud 4.75 or 5" backspace wheels I could borrow for a couple of hours one saturday morning asap ?
Just to confirm the fit before I order them, they take 6 weeks so its a long & expensive mistake to make.
Kent or Surrey based would be good.
