    keep the old paint scheme. You've established an identity with the car and name etc, don't lose that for the sake of a new paintjob.

    I haven't got any arty software to colour pics in with but how about keeping the chequered flag off the rear flanks and just having it on the hood scoop sides and along the bottom of the doors/ skirts . That way the car looks long and low and it doesn't fight against the body shape

    Now that's a great example of how big bold graphics can totally bugger up the flowing lines of a great looking car.
    I guess big loud paint jobs are like Marmite sarnies you either love them or hate them
