To add to Steve's post about breathing through the 3M masks, if you can SMELL ANY paint fumes then the mask is used up.
Also check that its the 06941 mask, as others look the same but are different filters.
An air fed mask is not that expensive either, though you will need a big compressor to feed it!
Re the latex gloves, I'd recommend NITRILE gloves instead, (powder free) as latex is a known allergenic and is very good for causing dermatitis or exzema on your hands after use (depending on person it can be days or years).

You should also get yourself some paper overalls (they are cheap) and wear latex gloves as the paint can be absorbed through skin.

Any good paint factors should sell them, I would reccommend the 3M mask. 14 is what i pay at my local, You will know when to throw it away as you won't be able to breathe through it.

Used to be a report on the wall of our paint suppliers showing the sad tale of a guy who went into kidney failure and died from not using a mask. First time at spraying as well.

I would agree Bry, 2 pack is not dangerous if you take the right precautions, I know of people that spray Celly without a mask and tell me its ok !!! There was a report a while ago in a paint manufactorers monthly that said Celly was more dangerous than 2 pack, At the end of the day the only thing good to breathe in is air.

I think 'sticky' got a bad rep as it was always used for cheap trade sprays ,lash it up and make it shiny . It has its place in the market but I wouldn't paint a quality car in it.

It's a pig to paint over without using a barrier coat and they have limited adhesion as well . Even Commercial, as in lorries , garages use 2 K nowadays.

You need to read the tech sheets twice dude,PPE is mandatory, not optional !,you will use much less material,if your compitant at celly application, youll end up a top painter using 2k...................MASK
