Hello, I have a spare 401 Nailhead out of a 59 Buick Invicta, I bought it to go into my Riviera, as I thought my motor had had it!! It was out of a 60,000 mile car that came from France, I was told it ran perfect before it was removed (the car was very rusty).
It is a complete engine, but with no carb, alternator, exhaust manifolds, the water pump is there but removed. Its dusty as its been under a workbench for 3 years, but I have turned it over regularly.
It has the earlier and more desirable rocker covers with a breather in each...
These are very big, heavy and powerfull engines, My Rivi goes like f#ck!!
Bits are realy easy to get, I think you can still get adaptors from the states to mate them to early ford transmissions, or if you use an adaptor bush they work with ST400's from later GM's too
Just want my money back realy, so £550 takes it.
Pm me for more details and a phone number!!
I will get some pictures tommorow if anyone is tnterested!!
Oh, I am on Canvey Island, Essex.
