Hi all, I have a Rolls Royce 4 litre straight 6 engine and matching Borg Warner Auto box. Its been in a car that has been off the road for around 30 years but turns over nicely. I havent had it running.
This engine was fitted to Vanden Plas Princess 4 Litre 4R models, which at the time were described as a fantastic engine in a poor car! Heres the spec
Rolls-Royce FB60 engine, 6-cylinder, ioev, in-line. 3,909cc, 95.25 x 91.44mm, 175bhp at 4,800rpm; 218lb ft at 3,000rpm. Borg-Warner 3-speed automatic transmission; Typical performance: Maximum speed 106mph; 0-60 mph 12.7sec; standing1/4-mile 18.9sec; overall fuel consumption 15mpg.
Everything is there except for a radiator, I still have the steering column and column change too if you need it.
This is a rare engine and would look great in a period rod or nostalgia dragster, and even has decent performance.
I'de planned to stick it in the back of the garage for a rainy day, but the storm clouds are gathering so it has to go,
Not sure what its worth but I'll say £700, and I'm up in Anglesey, North Wales
I have most of the other bits off the car too if anyone needs anything
