Bit of a long shot but here goes. I've just aquired a 1960 F-type Victor thats a nice straight, original car bar the paint. Pretty much rust free aswell which is rare. There are 2 things that need to be done quite soon as they spoil the car. The first is a fairly poor respray that needs mopping at the least. May have that sorted already but the other thing letting the car down is the brightwork and some trim. The state of the front grill area and bumpers makes the car look tatty which it isn't. I'm putting my feelers out as i know F -type bits are rare. Not worried about finding NOS parts though that would be a turn up but good secondhand stuff would be an option depending on condition. Any help in tracking these bits down would really help a brother and with a mop job hopefully the old girl could look half presentable. Here's a list of bits i need .
*****Front end grill section surround. The grill itself is surrounded by 6 pieces of trim when bonnet shut. My grill is useable but the rest i need if possible.
- The most important bits right now are the top and left and right trims. The top part fixes to the lower bonnet lip and is met either side by a trim that leads under the headlight and to the indicator housing. My top and side trims are ****e to say the least and are the cars worst detail next to the rear bumper. Mine are rough, painted silver and look like tat! Definatly something i want off the car asap especially as its the front of the car that you see first.
- The front indicator chrome housing, both sides. Met by above trim. Again mine are pitted badly.
- Bottom grill surround. Meets front indicators
*****Front or rear bumpers
- After complete or part sections of front or rear bumpers. Would even be happy with dulled parts if in ok condition. Mine are Wallaby Teds brother............ROOted!!
*****N/S side trims, especially the front wider sections.
*****Door handles, mine are that pitted it actually hurts to use them!!!!
***** Rear light chrome housings. Come in 2 parts, after both sides and both parts.
As mentioned any help or pointing in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
