    twin carb set up for datsun 140j

    id like a twin carb set up for my 140j pleeze or any go faster bits and pieces that any 1 has ytat would fit this fantastic piece of japaneese engineering by the way im skint so if youd like to give things away and you live near north wales that would be fantastici know im a cheeky git but u dont know unless you ask oh and an exhaust manifold would be good 2 cheers hope you dont all think im a knob

    Lol. You aint a knob, I have 2 Datsun's too . What year is the Violet?

    Is the base engine an L18 or an L18T? (i.e. is the car an SSS) I have the twin carb engine in one of mine and as far as I'm aware the ports are larger (so the gaskets are different) so not sure it will work too easily.

    Ah ok cool. As a thought it might be worth you getting a complete head with manifolds and carbs as the valves were bigger and it had a different cam. Still slow though lol despite the 20bhp increase

    a cheap rod that does 80 mph and 40 mpg!
    wouuld be great if it got there a bit quicker though

    Sorry I meant in the original car. The moggy is light so with 115bhp will be quite nippy.
