    100e boa v6?

Looking to do a boa v6 conversion on my 100e and just wondered if anyone has done/seen it done? Would it be best to chassis mount the engine or mount it off the escort crossmember? Would a 105e axle beupto thejob of dealing with the power?

105e should be fine if it's just road use. I'd drop the motor in and see where it drops in relation to crossmember. Chassis mounting might be better if the crossmember is too far forward.

I've got an axle and other 100e bits for sale if interested, rack, bilsteins, TCA's, etc

the english axle will be marginal with a boa (about 200hp) unless you go auto. it's down to how 'enthusiastic' your driving is. you can break them with a stock 1600 xflow if you drive stupid enough (i fitted 4 diffs and 2 half shafts to a mk2 cortina i had). also the type 9 is similarly marginal behind a boa. getting a 2wd mt75 is a better bet. you may need a v6 4x4 box with a 4 cyl tail housing fitted as 2wd v6 ones are rare. these 'tips' are just to prevent you doing a lot of work and then redoing it cos you keep breaking stuff.
need a job done on your project? i may be able to help.
