    12v dc to 6v dc for heater motor

    help please
    i have a heater motor from Russ on here but its 6v and the truck is 12v
    so what can i buy that will do the drop and be man enough for a motor
    thanks

    I have a voltage reducer on mine (before the switch if it's 6 volt). I think I imported it with a load of other stuff but should be available here. Ill look around to see if I can find what I bought

    My old truck had a 6v heater and it ran off a 12v system.......only put it on low speed and it was fine

    Or get older style battery with lead straps between the cells and have the manufacturer put a tapping half way to power all your 6 volt stuff. I have 2 done by Lincon no bother.

    FWIW that kit from Vintage is a hellish pricetag for what is, basically, a big resistor to make a potential divider and some terminals.
