I found this part number: 8850997, it says its an Oil Seal for a GM 4-speed.
In some ebay ads it says that it will fit FB, FC, FE and FD Victor, as well as Firenza/Magnum and Bedford trucks. Could this be some sort of replacement aftermarket part?

Check the length of the tailshaft housing you might be able to swap over , think its only the main casing thats a bit bigger due to 4th gear

I would be wary of what it says it fits on ebay, doubt that they made a replacement aftermarket housing/seal for that particular box. Did you get my email.

Another question, Does anyone now if the rear axle on the PA Cresta and Victor is sort of the same? I know the Cresta axle has 5 lug bolts and the Victor has 4, but is the differential and such the same?

Im asking because the axle in the Victor is making some noise, not super bad but still. I will get a new bearing kit with the car if i buy it, but if the axles are the same i could at least swap while im renovating the Victor axle.
The Cresta axle is rebuilt and powdercoated, but im not going to use it on the car.

I would post a separate thread about this question as you are likely to get a better response to your question. I doubt though that they would be straight swop. Chances things axle width, spring mountings and propshaft length will be different

I think i will let this Victor be, the plan was to use it as a daily driver but some parts are just too damn hard to find. I will buy a 1968 Cresta instead, seems to have a lot better parts avaliability. Still, thanks for all the help

In the end i bought none of these cars, i got a 1961 Vauxhall Victor F-Series instead. Drivable condition, rust free for about 250 pounds. I will save the victor wagon for later, it can stay in the museum for a while longer
