    1966 Chrysler heater whats best.Electric window motors

    Hello could you tell me what would be the best heater i could fit in a 1966 chrysler it has air con which is no good i want to remove the aircon pulley and pump then fit a heater.Also none of the electric windows work well one goes down but not up one you can hear a click.So do you think another motor would fit.Thanks

    The window motors are available from Rock Autos. However do a power check first as the drivers door master control switch is VERY pron eto playing up but it can be gently stripped and cleaned.

    As said above, clean all the electrical contacts, check there is a supply and a decent earth before you go spending any money, remember this is a 50 year old car you are dealing with. Try putting a feed directly to the window motor it may shock it back to life, if you use a tool like this.....Sealey Auto Test Probe PP1 12v Power Circuit Electrical Tester Auto Trade 6-24v | eBay you will be safe of doing any permanent damage to the system.
    It's only funny till someone gets hurt..........then it's friggin' hilarious

    window motors can also be rebuilt locally and may just need cleaned, also be careful with kids when you get them going as they have no safety features. Home - JC Auto Restoration, Inc. useful link for an old mopar.
