    1968 GTO 400 aftermarket carb fitting advice

    Hi,I bought an Edelbrock 1406 autochoke carb to replace the Holley Double Pumper that was on the GTO,but the air cleaner set up don't fit on the Edelbrock(even thugh the air cleaner is made by Edelbrock),so what air filter set up do I need?and will there be hood clearance issues-any advice greatly appreciated,thanks.

    You will need a 10" or 14" late edelbrock air cleaner for those webber carbs...

    Can you see why the filter won't fit. My edelbrock filter did not my carb until I put a 90 degree fitting for the fuel supply, you get a banjo bolt and fitting. I got mine from real steel but I'm sure your local v8 parts supplier can get one.
