    34 Sedan

    Hi,
Please may I ask if any one could recommend what donor vehicle chassis would be suitable for a rodline 34 sedan body. I have heard that a scimitar SE5a may be suitable however I would appreciate your thoughts on whether this is the right way to go. New to this type of project so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Wheelbase is too short on a Scimitar compared to stock '34 . Are you hoping to go the rebody route as a way to legitimately avoid BIVA?

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me, yes I thought it may be an easier route to avoid having BIVA etc and also I thought this may be a more practical way for me to go about a build, both technically and financially.

200 sx and do BIVA you have the best of both, fast economical rod and a bullet proof log book.

My SX powered coupe is the most fun to drive out of all the rods I have built.

The test is not so difficult especially on a fendered rod.

Cheers, this throws a different light on my initial direction, what mods were required to chassis etc?

The Nissan 200sx does not have a seperate chassis, have a look at the links in my signature on how to build a rod from a modern donor.

Thanks, I have had a look through the links and you have certainly put a lot of work into the project. How far is the project progressing, do you have any pictures of the body mounted to the chassis? I appreciate the advice!
