5 speed for a rwd vag TDI conversion.

Been looking at this conversion for some time now, and depending on options, might rethink my bmw diesel swap on a scimitar. The question is: what 5 speed rwd box I could put in there that would be able to handle the torque of a mildly tuned tdi (something like 150 hp, and 280nm torque). I'v seen the acme adaptors for toyota gearboxes, but too bulky, and found a bellhousing for a t9, but then again the standard t9 is not that good handling big(ish) torque figures. Also had a look at what 20v_t pop done on his buid thread but I have no way and skills to do the same, but that gearbox would surely fit the need. Maybe some bmw or mercedes gearbox could be adapted easyer, if any has a removeable bellhousing, I could buy the one I saw and half done...
    Any ideas?

I've got my 2.0TDI Quattro chipped to 220hp. Of course the engine is the wrong way round for the traditionalists
Money talks; unfortunately mine just says "goodbye"

expensive, and not going to last much as the front is the strong part of that transmission system. Getting the rear alone to handle all the power and torque is a sure break, given time... And the mods needed are a pain in the arse (welding stuff in the box)

well, been all afternoon researching this topic and so far can only find to (reliable) options that will cope with the torque:
1st is a toyota supra gearbox from the mk3 supras NA
2nd is a getrag 265/6 (the one with the removable bellhousing)

In both cases, they are hard to find and expensive too.
Any other gearbox that I should consider? Running out of ideas, even had a look on the honda s2000 gearboxes (6 speed), MX5 (5 and 6 speed versions), but the torque of the TDI would kill them fast...
Maybe what people are using for saab 2.3T rwd conversions? Will dig on this option next...
