    8 inch ford, educate me......

....... ok, I had a nodular open diff with 4:11 gears, I swapped it for a traction-loc diff with 3:0 gears,

I have read that the nodular casing is a stronger unit? now can I swap the traction-loc diff unit into the nodular casing? and will the 4:11 gears fit the traction-loc unit??

    Hope that makes sense?

    Thanks Tony

Tony you can put the traction lock into the nodular housing but it will require setting up correctly.

Tony from what I herd it might be worth getting a pro to set it up for you as if done wrong will wear out in no time and end up costing a lot more than it need do.

Andy Robinson. He's in Stratfield Turgis (east of Basingstoke) just outside Surrey, but worth the trip.
