cant go wrong with a single port master cylinder, all 4 corners are served from the same single outlet

On the rollers you can try all the different styles of braking and see what's happening - this will at least eliminate the brakes if they are not the problem.
As an aside - were the brake shoes replaced with the new brakes? if not could it be different materials - one 'grips' better than the other?
Rollers are on the cards.... I checked the shoes, same manufacturer and both sides show even wear patern and contact area..

    Its a teaser.....

I even walked down the road beside the car and watched the action of the suspension to see if there was anything obvious jumped out, cant say it was easy to see but nothing immediately obvious on the front end shifting or clunking around..?

Steering linkages?? I know it's different but my old capri had all new brakes and still shook like hell when braking. Turns out steering rack was sagged and would shake left and right. Used to jump to the left it brakes were jumped on.

I would say you have a suspension issue then. ;-)

Have you measured the wheelbase on both sides.

My guess if the wheelbase is ok is something is worn on the side it pulls.theary being as you apply the brakes, the force of the car is going forwars but the brake on the dodgy side is pulling that wheel back more than the other side.maybe worse if tracking is out

Got to agree it sounds like there is something worn or out of alignment. The strange thing is as redoxide say in #11 why does it pull up straight when you brake hard but pulls to the left when braking normally

I had that on an IFS and it turned out to be the rack wasn't perfectly horizontal , I'd thought about how that might relate to this case .
