    Calling Jag suspension experts

I'm currently hunting down a jag front clip to install in a 50's pickup and have got all confused with what years and models are the ones to go for.

I'd been looking for a Series 1 or 2 XJ6/12 or Daimler equivalent.

I've now spoken to 2 breakers who say the Series 1 is different to the Series 2 and one of them said the one I want a Series 2 or 3 XJ6/12 or XJS, this guy happened to have an XJS.

So is he right, is the XJS front clip the same as the XJ series 2 clip and suitable for a swap?

    Thanks

    Gotzy

Im certainly no expert and not having worked with a jag clip but if it was me id look at the series 2/xj range

Only because they are more plentiful (as there a lil later) and probably easier to get serviceable parts for (even brake pads for ealier cars are getting a lil scarce)

    Cheers Ash,

I've found a XJS clip, PS pump and column for 150 notes locally and that's what brought the thread up.

Do you know if the XJ Series 2 and the XJS are the same, your offering suggests they are, is that right?

    Cheers

Yes mate they are , with the exception of the smaller engined xj6 has smaller calipers and discs , xjs runs 4 pots as standard (jus make sure it come from a pre 89 car )
    Good luck ;-)

your welcome , pre 89 as post 89 or 90 onwards it turns to a horrible 'xj40' body shape hence the clip drastically changed making them not so useable (shame as they had alloy arms )

    ;-)
