    Carb size/make for a 302 SBF

I have just had the virginal experience of becoming the owner of a Ford with a Ford 302 in it.

I know everyone has their preference, Edelbrock or Holley, but what cfm rating carb should go on a 302 small block ford, 500 or 600..........street use, not for racing

Perhaps you can give me your opinion on the make too.

Has a cam and performer manifold too.

    Thanks

    Paul
Politicians and diapers have one thing in common. They should both be changed regularly, and for the same reason.

I've used both Edelbrock & Holley carbs and have not had any real problems with either. I would go with 600 v/s as the largest option on a stock 302 motor. If you are buying new, either make will do the job well. If you are going for a second hand carb it would be sensible to buy a rebuild kit and give the carb a good service before you fit it.
