    Cheap old fashioned rechromers anyone???

    Hi all
Can anyone advise where is a good place to get parts re-chromed cheaply that have pitted, I am looking for a "No Thrills" old fashioned salt of the earth place. Had a couple of quotes of places on the net but they were delivered by some "flying pigs" and just plain ridiculous!

I posed a similar question some time back regarding the shortening of a propshaft and you directed me to a place at Erith (Kent) which was a real old fashioned workshop but wha a place they did a fantastic job and were very reasonable as well!!, I know if such a chromers exists someone will know on here where it is!
    Thanks
    Mark

Must be small bumpers. £800+ for mine. The cost is the preparation before the chrome

Re chroming is expensive full stop , you will be looking at several £100s for some small parts . It is normally cheaper to buy new if possible all though i respect that some want to keep as many parts as possible , New bumpers for a 1950s cevy truck are half the price of a re chrome , and they come triple platted .

    cheers
