Hi anyone out there tell me if a 1971 chrysler valiant[aussie car] rhd has a voltage stabiliser for fuel & temp gauges
symptoms are erratic fluctuating ,high readings on both all wiring looks sound suspect may be a voltage stabiliser built into dash ?any ideas if thats correct & if so know who might be able to fix or supply parts ?
    cheers

It does sound like a voltage stabilier problem and is usually attache dto teh back of the gauge cluster..It depends on the voltage the gauges are designed to run at , the Smiths style is designed fo a 10 volt output and is the only one I know is readily available .
I believe Speedycables may be able to help tailor make something if that's not suitable ?

If you can find out what voltage it should be, then I can probably knock up a regulator.
