    Cleaning rover v8 injectors

Four of my rover v8 fuel injectors need cleaning, my local injector place has closed down and I,m going to have a go myself. I have a small sonic bath and am going to use panel wipe in it? I read on web that this is the stuff to use? Your thoughts folks? Cheers.

All 8 of ours were stuck closed. When the 3 volts was applied you could hear them click, however the plungers were stuck. So rigged up 3 volt supply to the conections, slipped a socket or a pipe over them, and clonked them quite hard on a lump of wood to shock the plunger into releasing. Then I also connected a pressurised petrol supply with an air line pumping it through, set the air line at about 35PSI you should eventually get a nice even mist, let loads and loads squirt through. It will clean out any gunge, If the engine has stood for any length of time its a common problem. But after running every diagnostic check, voltage to injector etc,etc , after weeks of frustrating failures. the problem was indeed stuck plungers in the injectors-- not letting fuel through.
So in a nutshell you need a container to pressue up to 35PSI and this needs an outlet for the pressurised petrol and it needs to be connected to the injector, you need a couple of 1.5V batteries connected to make 3 volts and they need to be connected to the injector electric connector, and a sleeve to slip on the injector - mission to free the plunger and allow a mist of petrol through. There are injector cleaners, possibly squirted in the injector and left to soak, and then 3 volts and 35 PSI, see if it squirts through.
