    Cleaning silicone residue ?

Well that's what I think it is anyway . Spent part of today putting the new etched glass panels into doors at home. Fitted in place with silicone and retainers pinned in on the other side.

Obviously some of the silicone oozed out and we cleaned it up but there are streaks on the etched side where it is more see though. It's white silicone that turns transluscent when dry but no visible remains on etched glass .

They were fine when each one went in so I'm thinkingit's silicone residue.

How the hell do I get it off without scratching the etch or leaving a different finish?
