Erm, if they were marked I wouldn't be asking...

No, they weren't, hence the question.

Seems strange though, as when I first drove it around the block (ahem) they were fine, had it sitting on the drive running for 5 mins then I could get out of it whilst in drive/reverse (engine running) without it moving...

I know you probably have it right but we all have the odd blonde moment,
You do have a 2lb valve on a disc system or a 10lb one on a drum system?

Sorry I assumed they were the Wilwood ones, just looked and they sell two different types, I'm not sure if you can see the flap if you look inside that might give you an idea.

    ok heres a picture.
    is yours like this one?

[I realise this is not an underfloor system but it is disc front/drum rear]

Thanks chaps, Satan, mine is the same way round as the one in your photo, with the arrow facing away from the M/C.

Gary, if the universal way of looking at a M/C is that the furthest away from the servo is the fronts, then yes, although mine is a smart car underfloor pedal/servo/master cylinder assy, so the M/C faces backwards...

Literally the car was running and with it in reverse and I got out...

Do you have a return spring on your brake pedal ? With the car running and no return spring the brakes can self apply due to the weight of the pedal.

There is no provision for one Kev, and I don't understand how it worked fine on the way out, and not after a crappy drive round the block...

It was popping and ****ing on throttle, and I have just had an idea...

    Could it be vacuum related???

The rough running under throttle, but tickover is fine, apart from solid brakes...

EDIT, plus the brake lights would have been on, because I only have to look at the pedal and they are on...
