    Ok, that's wired wrong then.

    I would recommend the link for the adjustable stat. You want that adjustable stat wired to ignition (via a relay) so the stat controls when the fan kick in & shuts off.

    You also have an override switch,the override is for if the adjustable unit fails or if you are in heavy traffic jams where fan is cutting in and out, you can leave the fan on constant to stop the heat/cool/heat/cool cycle until the jam eases up.

    This is my circuit if you understand wiring diagrams.

    Timbo's problem was he wired it wrong, you want the switch on the relay earth, not the relay live which should be ignition controlled.

    Since updated my reply with the correct circuit diagram.
    First relay controls battery power feed to fan thermo switch via ign.
    second relay (on rad) is there to provide an earthed switched override (this prevents Timbo's backfeed problem).

    Basically the rad mounted relay is a manual copy of the thermo switch in series with it.

    Huh???? I think you need to look at my wiring before making assumptions like that
