American Fords generally didn't have an engine number as such but there should be a casting number. On small blocks & Clevelands it's cleverly positioned so that you can't see it without removing the starter motor, might be a good place to start on yours .
No longer selling anything Hot Rod related. Not on this site anyway. Don't bother searching Ebay either, they got too greedy.........
thanks
my cleveland is stamped between the petrol pump and dizzy although after cleaning off the rust and painting it can't be read
all you need is a healthy body and a sick mind
If its a y block mine was on the right hand side of the block(as you look from the front) just above the oil pump
Ive just got a coe with a 292 y block where do you sorce parts from as it doesent look a popular engine choice in the uk
If it carn't be fixed with a hammer it must be an electrical fault
On my 289 Windsor it's behind the starter motor , on mine it's the same as my body number so definitely an engine number
have you tried US automotive in bedford
