    Epoxy primer?

I can no longer get epoxy primer round here. The local-ish supplier used to stock Lechler products but no longer does them. I have noticed various online suppliers of Epoxy primers aimed at marine use for priming boat hulls etc, the manufacturer that crops up most is International Paints. Are these the same as automotive epoxy primers?

Epoxy primers have been stopped in the car trade now for environmental reasons. international paints are industrial finish, so not the same as automotive, i have used it, it can be brushed on but really you need and airless spray setup to use it.

I use the UPol primers, but it was an epoxy primer I was after to use first rather than the older etch primer. I'll drop Jawel a line & see if they do an epoxy.

Colorite Colorite Paint Company Ltd will still sell Lechlar primers. They are banned for automotive use, but still legal to buy for trade for painting in the building industry etc. Pinewood film studios uses loads of it for set protection, hence Colorite still supplying them.
