    hi
glad you got it sorted easily guy, trying to find the vid so i can see what you mean,
thanks jonny, may i need to look at the prop shaft before ripping out the engine ? but it is all new but may be too long ?? there is only about 1/4 inch on the yoke before it bottoms out on the gearbox ot put shaft.

Dean, you really should have approx an INCH worth of travel on the yoke.

Do you have a lot of suspension travel (on the rear) or is it fairly 'stiff'???

    hi guy
its to a jag irs so sold mounted to rear x member so no travel, and the gear box move ment does not sem to make it knock, however i suspect it is too long and this is what may be causing the vibration @ 3 th rpm and when accerating from 2 k to over 3 th rpm? ok at say 2k rpm, it was a new completely rebuit shaft some years ago, cant see anything wrong with the ujs , again new. may be i need a split prop ? or this prop but shorter? what do ya think

I wouldn't think you need a split prop, but you might need it slightly sorter...

I'll ask Jon tomorrow for you and see what he says...

Jon recommends an inch of 'free play' on the yoke.

Are you sure it's the prop and nothing else, bearings in axle etc...???

hi guy thanks, from my reserch / invetsigation its either the prop,or it is to do with the flex plate / crank balance i mentioned earlier, axle all referbed and was not apropblem when it was manual,so it is easier to replace the prop first i suppose, thanks will see about either a new prop or having this one shortend & balanced ckecked
    cheers dean.m

No worries Dean, Jon charges £50 for a shorten and balance, or we can price a new one for you...
