    /\ As Neil says , trouble with a V6 is you have not only the drive teeth but also the hexagonal oil pump drive to align so generally it means two teeth round to realign with the internal drive as well.

    Phew, good job I didn't do what I thought...

    Just been out and had a turn, and moved the leads, will leave it until Saturday now (when I've reborrowed the timing light) and see what happens...

    (it'll probably run out of fuel...!!!)

    Sorry Paul, yes, I still haven't timed it up 100% as the timing light I borrowed was a bit naff, but I turned the dizzy as stated above, and swapped the leads, new s/h carb is fitted, and it started first time, little bit of adjustment on the timing and all is good, even took it around the block a couple of times just to make sure...

    Got an old mate who is going to come round and wave his Essex V6 magic at it (or at least a better timing light) next week, but I'm quite happy at the mo...
