Like i say. Worth contacting and a chat when his ad goes back up on ebay. He brings full containers of fully dressed cut outs in from the US so has regular stock (30 plus motors last time i was at his shop) lets any buyers watch the refreshed or rebuilt motors go through its paces on his dyno. Very approachable guy.
    Nice one, thanks.

The motor was £3800 due to its output and internal work (All brand new internals) and the ECU Was £1000 for mates rates (normally £1500) its a canems unit from Dave Hampshire that makes for a very simple install (wiring wise) 4 wires to connect if i remember rightly (as i wanted a manual wire throttle body) .
    I paid this in 2016.

This asking questions malarkey gets results you know!

Thanks to all that have replied to date, I've got a long way to go yet but I've started, there's only more to find out! I've also been chatting with some people on a Ford FE specific forum about it. I think the plan might be get the car here, get it running nicely, see how it is, then possibly order a stroker kit to put it around 430ish ci, with a view to adding boost at a later date (7-10lbs) - should pep it up somewhat.

    This continues.

As mentioned already - the Coyote is an option, especially as the car is a Galaxie and has the width to be able to accept it better.

Awaiting a couple of leads at the mo, I know these are becoming more and more plentiful and cheaper by the day.

First things first - the car has now been bought. Just awaiting it getting it picked up and shipped over here.

As for upgrades, for now I think it's just going to be a case of boring it out, getting an Edelbrock top end kit and a Survival Motorsports stroker kit. I'll be hunting for an exhaust manifold too at some point (unless I get one made here, that's an option).

If anyone has any opinions on all that, or other suggestions I'm all ears. Boost will only be considered in the future.

    The car -
