Fuel Tank plumbing help needed - Jaz fuel cell confusion!

    Hi Guys,

I've got a Jaz fuel cell for the gasser, and been getting confused as to how to plumb it.

Its got one outlet and one vent fitting with tip over valve but has no return fitting.

    jaz fuel cell

Do you need to run a return pipe to the tank?

I've got a RMD fuel pump rated at 6-7.5 psi and a regulator to bring the pressure down for the carb which is a holley 600cfm 4 barrel.

Would the back pressure from teh regulator not put strain on the pump?

Any ideas and help is appreciated!

    Matt

no return needed generally on a carbed engine, and the fuel pump should sense the pressure and adjust accordinly. so basically feed from tank to pump, pump to regulator, reg to carb, oh and a decent filter in there aswell!
i want cubic inches! lots of em!!

On the other hand........ I used a BG400 pump with a regulator built in to the pump , with a return line back to the tank. If you need to run a return line , empty the baffle foam from the tank , drill a suitable hole for a dash 6 or 8 bulkhead fitting , clean the tank out , and you can use the new fitting for the return . You can always blank it off when /if not used.(dont forget to refit the foam)

    Cheers Wayne
